An idea come up in chat yesterday that I feel should be posted here. What would you think if all the cost for profession buildings were lowered, but they became soul bound. Right now there are only 3 lvl 100+ blacksmiths which makes it very hard to get higher level gear crafted, and the cost based on current prices is about 3.3bill gold to get one profession to lvl 10 makes it not very worth it.
So if the professions became soul bound and the prices lowered to point where you don't have to spend $$$ to upgrade the buildings more people would get the buildings creating a large gold, resource and credit sink that the game need.
What are your thoughts about this idea?

That's a sick amount of gold. No way a peasant could upgrade mith skills, credit boosts and professionals. Top of that crafting. It is slow enough atm. You have like 4 things to sink your goods in and only very small income from quests and drops. On other hand if you donate a lot $ things are almost too easy.
ON current situation not many players choose to do professionals simply cause people can craft things for you and you have so many things to upgrade. And as you said it's very expensive.

i agree on lowering the costs but disagrees on the soulbound part. the devs should make something to encourage doing a profession so people have something more likely want to do other than just plain Tsing or pure battling. -it may be an event or something like a "limited-time" reduction in costs to upgrade professions, etc
