When whispering a player, maybe keying in /w+ will fill in the name of the last person you whispered? Or maybe a hotkey on the keyboard to the same effect.

Not a bad idea, not sure how easy that is to maintain, i.e how far back would this work for? Depending on how chat already works, storing this kind of info may be more work than its worth, especially when I'd bet most people click peoples names to reply?

Well, I think if you just store the last name you whispered. Doesn't have to do much more then that. Chat was very active the other day when I was whispering someone about trading a sword when I reached T2. I forgot their name, and the chat had gone too far for me to scroll back down and reference.

Many games use /r for this, one less keystroke.
Edit: nvm you sad autofill the name, not just reply to last chat. I suppose that could be useful if you just wanted to see who it was without actually replying.
