I thought of this as I was playing, and I have been doing a lot of quests and i have not used the market once sense I started playing, and I don't think I will for quite a while. So I thought to replace the market with Quests. And then I thought why not be able to do that for all of it, except the Battle and the TS, those would stay. I donno, thoughts?

Not sure the coding involved but that might take a major overhaul of the links and key areas. I semi-remember the HTML and Java coding I did in high school and adding checkboxes to change areas on a page were quite intense. Not saying it isnt possible but definitely need Stabzs to weigh in on this one

nahuni and I discussed it in a quick chat before this was posted and I like it (to an extent) since some level of customization is definitely a nice thing to have. However, after further review, it WOULD take some additional changes to make it work. Both Profile and Mithril skills would need a new permanent location in Town and, of course, Town itself would still need to be sticky as well since the Key Areas link is currently the only option. That said, that would still leave 5 available slots as options. That's a reasonable amount of customization. I'm curious to hear how many players are really interested in this change, since it would require a decent amount of changes for "relatively" little gain, other than the ability to customize what you want when you want it (and it closes a few of the whale's suggestions, which is always a benefit for us all ). Feel free to continue to weigh in.

I like it but in the scheme of things I'm not sure how high of a priority it would be for me. Clan bosses and a /who command are higher on my list for what it's worth, but I have thought it strange sometimes which links are in the "key areas" and which aren't so the ability to customize would be nice.

I would like something along this. Seeing as I hardly ever use inventory and I do go through a lot of quests.

I like the idea of customisability, however if we all have the same customisations in mind, it'd be simpler to just change which permanent links are there. For example for me, I'd just swap out profile for a Boss link, the rest seems fine.

Good point whale.
I'd be curious to hear what links people had in mind, since that would make this dramatically easier if it's simply changing out links.

I second BW. Adding Quests and swapping Profile for Boss would do me.

For what it's worth I do use the Profile link fairly often, mostly to check on my scrap and frag counts. My vote would be to add to what is there though I'm sure you want to keep the Key Areas section tidy. A better way to get to the boss encounter would be very welcome whether it's in the key areas section or something more... creative (like the announcement being a link, which I believe you may have shot down in the past but I'm not 100%). Quests would be second on my list of things to add to the area.

As for the boss link, I don't think I ever shot it down, but deep linking (right now) is a bit annoying so until I put a few things into place that might be a large effort, albeit a worthwhile one.
