I know everyone has their wants and desires. My list has almost exclusively to do with clan functionality.
The first thing I'd like to see is private, password protected threads on this very forum for each clan. Would save everyone from having to do it offsite and drive more traffic here.
I don't have it all mapped out in my head yet, but I would REALLY love for there to be a PvP aspect and clan wars. Be it land based, with stealing of resources, destroying of gear, etc etc. Something that requires teamwork and planning. I'm sure there's lots of ideas out there. My dream clan war system was coded for my last game and I guess pretty complicated so I suck at coming up with easy.
So lets hear it guys, what would you love to see out of clans? If you don't care about clans, go find another thread.

I'd like guild bonuses, such as % EXP/GOLD/Drops, maybe slight timer reduction on attacks.
Of course these would have to be upgraded via guild buildings.

So let me try to describe how I want it....
Picture if you will a 25 x 25 grid. Or larger, any size will work. When a clan is ready to set up shop, they pick a grid point. Say it's 1x1. That is their grid. That is where the clan will build their fortress. You can pay to build defenses. Including moats, archers, trebuchets and foot troops. This is also where the clan will store its clan gold.
Now, you can send out scouts. Scouts take 1 hour per grid space to move. So if you send a scout to 1x2 it'll take an hour to get there, then an hour to get back. If he survives, then he'll bring you a report on that square. If it's occupied or not. Once you find another clans coords, you can declare war on them and send your troops. Offensive troops will include Footmen, archers, siege weapons and battering rams. These are NPC and fight amongst themselves. Clan members online can stop what they're doing and join the attacking or defending side acting as generals and improving a stat of their choosing for the whole army.
If a defending clan member is online, they can attack a general. If they win, they can knock them out of the fight and the opposing army then takes a negative effect to the stat. The PvP aspect can be done any number of ways.
Once the battle is over, if the attacking army wins, they can plunder the clan coffers for anywhere between 1-8% of the total gold. The winning side then gets exp for the clan. If the defenders are successful, they get to keep a percentage of 5-20% of the attacking army as prisoners and use them as their own.
Clans can only be attacked once a week. If you want to team up with another clan, they would have to have their army show up at the same time, but with proper planning you could do it.

I personally have never enjoyed PvP or Clan wars or the like. At least with the idea things can be destroyed/stolen. If something can be earned that isn't on behalf of the loser, I have a lot less issue with it. But I don't like the idea that I've spent a lot of time and effort to build something up, just to have someone break it when I can't spend 24/7 on the game like some people can. That's why I've never played RWK or games like that. It's not my cup of tea. I understand there are plenty of people that want that aspect to take place in MMOs. I'm just not one of them. Just my opinion.

I too do not like PvP or clan wars. However IF they are optional I say your idea is quite good.

Clan PvP isn't likely to occur any time soon. In addition, as it stands right now clan forums are simply not worth the cost of other updates and the overhead to manage the fourms. In addition, the new standard for the board is to create single threads per suggestion. As a result, this thread will be closed although the ideas can be revisited at some point down the road in new threads if deemed appropriate at that time.
